The Boomerang Party Yacht gained recognition on the Travel Channel’s “Destination Showdown” as one of the must-visit attractions in Washington, D.C. If you caught the show, you know it’s a competition that sets two exceptional cities head-to-head, with judges evaluating them based on their culinary offerings, attractions, and accommodations. In one memorable episode, Washington, D.C. went up against Boston, vying for the title of the superior city. Judges had the challenging task of determining the winner.
During the broadcast, the Travel Channel not only revealed the Boomerang Party Yacht as a ‘hidden hotspot’ but also highlighted other D.C. gems, including The National Mall, Ben’s Chili Bowl, Filomena Ristorante, and The Mayflower Hotel. The final verdict was clear – D.C. emerged victorious!”

The Boomerang Party Bus made a star-studded appearance in the second episode of MTV’s “The Real World” when the show descended on Washington, D.C. during the summer of 2009. Prior to MTV’s arrival in the nation’s capital, Boomerang was enlisted to orchestrate a memorable July 4th celebration for the show’s cast. The prospect of planning a party for MTV was surreal, and the Boomerang team eagerly set to work to create an unforgettable event worthy of television.
On the big day, the Boomerang Bus rolled up to the Real World mansion in DuPont Circle to pick up the cast. It then transported them to a historic yacht docked at the Gang Plank Marina in SW Washington. The event was a true spectacle, featuring an open bar, catering, and a DJ to set the mood as fireworks lit up the night sky above. The proximity of the National Monument during the show was simply unbelievable!
Following the extravagant yacht party, the Boomerang crew hopped back on the Party Bus and headed to the downtown DC hotspot, Ultrabar Nightclub. Upon arrival, we were whisked up to a mezzanine level reserved exclusively for our group, which included the Real World cast, 13 members of their film crew, and their security detail. The night at Ultrabar was nothing short of amazing, and the Boomerang team later safely returned the cast to their mansion in the early hours of the morning.
Our collaboration with the Real World cast continued throughout that memorable summer, with the cast even joining us on the Boomerang Bus for an epic golf tournament sponsored by some of DC’s most popular bars and pubs a few weeks later. It was a summer to remember!

In a heartwarming collaboration, ABC’s Channel 7 news joined us aboard the Boomerang Pirate Ship to capture a special cruise organized for the Casey Cares non-profit organization during the summer of 2013. The Casey Cares Foundation is dedicated to providing ongoing, uplifting programs with a personal touch to critically ill children and their families. Their passionate team of experienced professionals, many of whom volunteer their time, have made a significant impact on the lives of these brave young individuals.
Together, we designed a family-friendly treasure hunt cruise on the Boomerang Pirate Ship that exceeded all expectations. The event was a resounding success, leaving children and families beaming with joy as they clutched their hard-earned pirate’s treasures. This heartwarming collaboration truly highlighted the power of community and the spirit of giving.
